DaShop — E-commerce Platform with Go Backend & Vue Frontend
Project Description
DaShop is a modular e-commerce platform built with Go (Gin framework) as the backend API and Vue.js as the frontend. The platform is designed for high performance with PostgreSQL as the database and an architecture supporting multi-seller or white-label deployment.
Challenge
The client needed an e-commerce platform with higher performance than traditional PHP-based solutions, capable of handling thousands of concurrent products and transactions without performance degradation, and a flexible architecture for white-label customization for other businesses.
Solution
We built DaShop using Go Gin for the backend API with JWT authentication, PostgreSQL for transactional data storage, and Vue.js for a responsive storefront. The REST API architecture enables decoupling between frontend and backend, facilitating future mobile app or third-party system integration.
Result
The platform handles concurrent requests far higher than PHP solutions with the same server resources. The API-first architecture opens the possibility for future mobile app development without needing to rebuild the backend.
